In the 70’s & 80’s, it was a regular occurrence that we had friends & neighbors, aunts and uncles over for coffee & cake. It was less of a commitment than a meal but a way to have a casual visit and catch up on the day to day goings on.
These gatherings included a poundcake or a bundt or, if time was short, an Entenmann’s crumb cake. Sometimes cookies, always endless amounts of coffee poured from the Bialetti. We thought it would be nice to bring back the art of low pressure gathering and the opportunity to be together with some of the people in your neighborhood. So, come by for coffee (there will be cake, of course). A portion of each ticket sale will be donated to PS 261
